  3.  SOUTH-EAST ZONE as per vastu emits a specific amount of heat energy for which few specific indoor plants like lucky bamboo plant and red flower plants are recommended for this zones. (Avoid white, blue Flowers plants in this zone)
  4. NORTH-WEST ZONE as per vastu is a place of air and it is believed to be the exterior point of negative energy from the house so neem plant for its medicinal as well as vastu properties is recommended to place hear. ( Avoid red or yellow color flower plants in this zone.)
  5. Avoid indoor thorny plants like cactus etc in side the home.

According to Vastu, the eastern side of a house is the perfect location for placing a tulsi plant. And, if there is no place to keep it there, find at least a window or balcony space in the north-east direction of the house.

• Remember to keep the tulsi plant on a platform at home which is higher than the base of your house.

• It is important to remain in harmony with the basic Vastu rules, i.e. you need to keep the tulsi plant in the cleaned condition. The areas surrounding the plant should be open enough and there must not be any coverings such as mops, clutter, brooms, etc.

  3. Big or tall trees planted in the East or North-East directions emanate negative energy.
  4. Cotton plant (genus Gossypium), Silky cotton plant/Kapok (Bombax ceiba) and Palmyra tree (Borassus flabellifer) commonly known as Doub Palm, Palmyra Palm are also considered to be inauspicious.
  5. Never keep dead or dying plants at home. Even dry flowers are considered to bring bad luck. Avoid planting trees in extreme front & center of your house, as they should not obstruct the entrance.
  6. Do not grow big plants at the main entrance door which can obstruct the flow of energy.
  7. Do not place any plant or pot inside North-East corner of house except Holy Basil (Tulsi).
  8. Huge trees must be planted in South or West portion of house. They must be grown in the house where they get enough sunlight without blocking it for the inmates.
  9. Small plants/trees are better to be grown in East or North but avoid North-East direction for planting any kind of tree.
  10. Creepers are good to be installed at entrance of house or exteriors. But ensure that they are not raised above compound wall. Creepers should be grown in the garden only.
    Every creeper should have its own support system.
  11. Milk exuding plants should be avoided in living place as they are inauspicious for homes and effect health of occupants.
  12. Fruit bearing trees like Mango, Jamun, Kela; milk bearing trees like Mahua, Peepal, Vata (Banyan tree); and thorny plants like Babool, Ber, Katari etc. are prohibited to be planted indoors or within the house walls.
  13. Avoid all kinds of bonsai plants as they are symbolic of stunted growth.
